The beautiful karst Krka river springs near the town of Knin, underneath a waterfall. After flowing 72.5 km through Dalmatian region, it drains into the Adriatic Sea right at Šibenik. The town of Žaborić is only 10 minutes away from Krka National Park.
The freshwater course of the Krka river is fed by several tributaries. Thanks to the constant process of travertine-building, the Krka river is a karst phenomenon that is nature’s priceless gift to mankind. The travertines have been building the most beautiful waterfalls, and the park visitors can actually swim right next to them!
